Navdeep was born on 26th January, 1975, in Hyderabad. He debuted as the male lead in the Telugu film Jai (2004), and went on to appear in more Telugu and Tamil films subsequently.
He played Sathya Narayanan in the Tamil movie Arindhum Ariyamalum (2005). The movie was a huge hit, and gave a big boost to Navdeep's career.
Navdeep was seen in Telugu films like Gowtham SSC (2005), Premante Inthe (2006), Ready(denikaina) (2008), Mallika I Love You (2009) and Yaagam (2009).
