'Surangani', a film produced by Mrs. Krirhika Karthik and T.Bala Subramaniyam of Mirale Films and director by J. Suresh was launched recently at the producers' office in Chennai. J. Suresh had earlier directed the films 'Ennavale' starring Madhavan and Sneha and 'Vellai' with Vignesh and Nasser.

'Surangani' however will star the director himself as hero. Musician Yuvan Shankar Raja was present during the launch and will score music for the film.

The chartbuster song of yesteryear, Oru Pakkam Paakura… Oru Kanna Saikura…, which featured in the film Mattukara Velan is being remixed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. This smash hit song was picturised on M.G. Ramachandran and Jayalalithaa in the 1970s. The remixed version is for the film Surangani.

The film has J Suresh, who directed films like Velai and Ennavale, and Malayalam actor Rajkumar as heroes while Madhu Varma and Lakshana play their love interest, respectively. Nasser and VMC Haneefa are also a part of the cast.
