'Kalaignani' Kamal Hassan met the press today at Green Park to give the first intro of his forthcoming film Unnaipol Oruvan, a remake of bollywood blockbuster 'A Wednesday'. Produced by Kamal Hassan’s Rajkamal Film International, in collaboration with UTV Motion Pictures, the entire team consisting of Kamal Hassan, Mohanlal, director Chakri, Sruthi Hassan and UTV’s Ram Mirchandani were attended the meet.

For the first time, legendary Kamal join hands with another legend of this region Mohan Lal in this film. The film is directed by Chakri Toleti, who is from the Florida Film School in USA and has acted with Kamal in Salangai Oli in a cameo as the boy photographer (who always takes picture out of focus!) and also recently in Dasavatharam as the scientist and Kamal’s friend (The man appears in Courier office scene). Of course, Shruti Hassan is the another debutant is being introduced as the music director.

After the formal intro, Kamal says, "We have already completed all my combination scenes with Mohan Lal, who has now only to dub for the film. I always wanted to do a film with Mohanlal, it was long overdue and finally I’ am happy it is happening under Raajkamal banner. We will complete the film by May end."

Interestingly, the film's release time is falling on the 50th year of Kamal Hassan's career. He has been started his career at the age of 5 on Aug 12th 1959. Through out the press meet Kamal Hassan was seen in a very relaxed mood and replied humourously for even some irritating questions from the press side.

Answering a question, Kamal says, "Somebody understood wrongly that Tamilan is a qualification to enter or getting numero uno status in the film world. But i never think like that. Tamilan is
an identity... that's all. But it will never helps to any one to get the top position in any field. You must show your talents in a right way..."

After a long time Malayalam superstar Mohan Lal was attended a press meet in Chennai. He said: "I'm one of the great fans of Kamal sir. It’s a great honour for me to be a part of my hero's film. The kind of passion that Kamal sir has for film making is awesome. I really enjoyed working on the film and learned a lot from him..."

The film is being shot with RED cameras in 4K resolutions, and the camera is handled by Manoj Soni from Mumbai. Thotta Tharini the famous art director who debuted with Kamal Hassan’s Raajapaarvai is the art director of the film. From Tamil literature, Ee.Raa.
